This Week in Unschooling

This is unschooling this week:

Recently I really got into the soundtrack of the Broadway musical Hamilton, and after lamenting that I wish I could just see the storyline so I’d understand better what was going on when I listened, my husband Brad found this this video, and we watched the whole thing.

Since then, G has spent some time nearly every day playing the video on the computer with the screen off so he can just listen to the soundtrack over and over again. On Tuesday I heard him and L shouting to each other “I’m not throwing away my shot! I’m just like my country, I’m young scrappy and hungry and I’m not throwing away my shot!” On Wednesday I was so bothered that he was taking forever to help clear the table for supper that I almost said, “That’s it, you’re banned from Hamilton!”

He’s going to have the whole show memorized by the end of the week.
